At first glance, the Saatva Mattresses looks like a heavy bed, even if you don’t know what’s inside it. There is a higher 14.5-inch Saatva Mattresses that you can also try out. The one I tried was 11.5 inches.
Since Saatva isn’t a bed-in-a-box name, it doesn’t come in a cardboard box. Instead, two workers bring it to you by hand, ready for you to sleep on. Setting up and moving this mattress around yourself would be a pain because it’s pretty big.
I knew there were innersprings in the base when I first laid down because it was so springy and sensitive. You won’t feel the steel coils poking through the bed because of the foam and the soft, airy pillow top. In fact, it feels like the right mix of springy and relieving pressure.

What does it feel like to sleep on the Saatva Classic?
The Saatva Mattresses makes me think of a fancy hotel mattress or a standard innerspring bed that has been made a little more comfortable. It feels like a thick, supportive box spring with a soft foam cushion on top of it. My water glass didn’t fall over on the bed during my water glass test, which was better than I thought it would be for the Saatva Mattresses. Because there are two innerspring layers inside, the motion separation isn’t as good as it is in Casper or Nectar. Temperature: Beds with both foam and coils, like the Saatva, tend to be more open than beds with only foam because the coils let more air flow through them. It’s not always true that the Saatva Classic is a cooling mattress, but it shouldn’t make you feel cold while you sleep. I think it does a good job of not keeping your body heat in while you sleep. How hot you sleep will depend more on things like the room temperature or your pyjamas.
